Deputy Power Minister Briefs Parliament On Prepaid Metres

pieces of electricity prepaid meters were imported into the country from 2012 to 2015 at the cost of Ninety-Nine Million Ghana Cedis by the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG and NEDCo.

The metres were to empower customers to manage the use of electricity by avoiding wastes and also to prevent accumulation of unpaid bills.

The Deputy Minister for Power John Jinapor stated this on the Floor of Parliament on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, when he appeared before the MPs to respond to questions relating to electricity supply and its challenges in the country.
