Over ten thousand believers including President John Dramani Mahama thronged the Independent Square in Accra to participate in this year’s Good Friday Miracle service.

The event is an annual service of the Lighthouse Chapel International to mark the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

Led by the founder and general overseer of the church, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, he preached his Good Friday message on the theme ‘the Blood of the Lamb’. Taking his verse from the Book of Revelation 12:11 (KJV) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death he explained that Jesus is the one that takes away our sins and because of our sins Satan has the legal right to fight us.

The power of God worked miracles through Bishop Heward-Mills where the blind received their sight, the deaf could hear, people who came in wheelchairs and crotches managed to walk again, and among other ailments and disease that were cured.

The man of God led the congregation to make four Prophetic declarations; namely; Debt-free, Wonder, Growth, and Loyalty.

In an interview with some of the believers they explained they have felt the power of God as never before. Noting that the service has made them reflect on the goodness and mercies of God upon believer.

Other Bishops including Arch-Bishop Duncan Williams joined the church to commemorate the Good Friday service.
