Death of Net2 cameraman an act of God – Kennedy Agyepong

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyepong has said that the shocking death of the cameraman at Net2 TV was an act of God.

According to the NPP firebrand, Mohammed Ashley Yakubu who is a presidential correspondent for the station was hardworking and courageous.

Speaking on Adom TV he said no one should be blamed for Mohammed’s death since it was an act of God.

Agyepong narrated that when the explosion started, lights at Madina Zongo where Kencity media is located went out. He added that the workers were advised to stay in the office until the situation was calm.

“They were even warned not to put on the generator but he decided to go to the scene to take footages and died in the process.”
“Honestly from the angle that it’s coming from, I don’t whether destiny is the same as acts of God. Because I learnt that they were cautioned not to move out and stay calm but because of his love for the job, he went out to work which makes me think that he was destined to die that night” he added.

Agyepong said that the deceased will be missed by both staff and management of Kencity media.
The deceased journalist will be buried on Tuesday (October 10, 2017).

He allegedly fell off from the flyover at Madina Zongo Junction while trying to take video footage of last Saturday’s gas explosion.
He died on the spot and his remains were conveyed to the 37 military hospitals for preservation along with 6 others.
132 other sustained various degrees of injuries.
