The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has launched it’s 2016 manifesto based on four pillars. They are; social policies, economic policies, responsive governance and international relations.
Within these policy areas are four short term priority areas that the party intends to address immediately it is elected to power.
These are job creation, essential social services, public safety and managing the country’s resources.
The party also used the occasion to launch two other documents, the gender policy document and the communication document for the party.
The 43 page manifesto also has a special policy for persons with disability.
The Chairman of the Convention People’s Party, Prof Edmund Delle says the exacerbated lies and knee jerk economic model is what has caused the disperse among the electorate.
He said Ghanaians should come back to their first love which is the CPP to liberate them from the current economic difficulties.
Addressing party supporters at the launch of the Party’s manifesto in Accra, Prof Delle said a CPP government will give Ghana the real development it needs and better the lot of the ordinary citizen.
He said after many years of living in the political wilderness, the CPP is more than ready to give Ghana the authentic and visionary leadership it deserves.
The running mate of the CPP, Gabby Nsiah Nketiah, said it is only an Ivor Greenstreet government that can deliver Ghana from the current economic situation.
He said a CPP government, will revive the hopes and aspirations of Ghanaians.
