Court adjourns Ayariga’s case against EC

An Accra High Court has adjourned the case between the All People’s Congress (APC) and Electoral Commission (EC) to November 1.

The case was adjourned to allow the lawyers file their submissions on the case.

The two parties have also been asked to submit their written submissions today since they failed to present it in the previous week.

Hassan Ayariga was one of the thirteen presidential hopefuls who was disqualified by the EC over some errors in their nomination forms.

Ayariga mentioned that he was hopeful the court will rule in his favour following the ruling by the court to allow the PPP contest in the presidential race after they were also disqualified.
The judge Justice Barbara Tetteh Charway, indicated that she will set an appropriate date to give judgement after the oral submissions of Tuesday.
