Court adjourns Afoko’s Cross examination to May 17

Cross examination of the suspended National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko in his suit challenging his suspension has been adjourned to the 17th of this month.

Mr Afoko claimed that the suspension is unconstitutional and therefore sued the NPP at the Human Rights Court to annul the decision.ghanapoliticsonline.com

Mr Afoko tendered in a document as part of his witness statement which was challenged by the counsel for the defendant, Godfred Omane Yeboah.

The said document is minutes of a National Council meeting held on the 16th of July 2014. The validity on it was under contention.ghanapoliticsonline.com

Mr Odame Yeboah argued that the minutes were forged because there was no meeting held on that date.

Mr Afoko however explained that the Finance and Administrative Director of the NPP Secretariat wrote the minutes.

He claimed that even as the National Chairman of the NPP, he was not privy to issues within the party.

The presiding judge Anthony Yeboah cautioned the parties to stick to the issues agreed on in the trail.
