CONFIRMED! Akufo-Addo received $40m in Prampram airport scandal

It has been confirmed that the reported $40 million payment for a supposed new international airport at Prampram was to some middlemen of President Nana Akufo-Addo. Officials of Abu Dhabi Investment Company Limited are unhappy about the growing lack of interest of Nana Akufo-Addo in pushing for the project after collecting the $40 million. 

Abu Dhabi Investment Company in papers to be filed at the International Court of Arbitration state that 40 million Dollars was paid as commission and preparatory fees to the Ghana government on the advice of senior government officials at the Presidency  to “soften the grounds” for the President to cut the sod for the project to commence. 

After the commissions were paid to the President’s Office, there was no further correspondence and attempts.       

Sources at the International Court of Arbitration say if the Ghana Government loses the case they could be made to pay up to 250 million dollars in compensation.  

Officials in the Ghanaian government when contacted stated they were aware of this case and they were in talks with Senior officials within the Emirate and the Abu Dhabi Investment Company to resolve the issue.
