Have confidence in my husband – Mrs Akufo-Addo

wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s 2016 flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on market women to have confidence in her husband and vote for him come November 2016.

Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo assured the market women that an NPP government will fix the increasing prices of goods and services in the country.

She disclosed this to the market women of the Tuesday Market in the Ablekuma District whilst on a visit to buy some foodstuffs.

Over hundred women gathered around her to register their misgivings about governance and the economy of the country.

“The hardship in the economy is too much, people are not buying our goods these days,” one of the women told her in Twi.

Another added that the current economic challenges are in sharp contrast to what pertained during the tenure of President Kufuor where businesses were flourishing.

“Our businesses performed better,” she said adding “There is no money in the country to buy goods these days.“

Mrs Akufo-Addo encouraged them to be strong and vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP come November 7, 2016 to bring the change that Ghana “desperately needs.”

She later visited residents and fishermen of Chemung at Mamprobi where she entreated them to arise for change and vote for Nana AkufoAddo and the NPP to address the numerous problems of the fishing industry.

According to her, “The NPP will support you and the industry because it is an important sector to Ghana’s economic and socio-cultural development.”

Mrs Akufo-Addo was accompanied on her rounds by the parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South, Jerry Ahmed Shaibu, a former mayor of Accra, Hon. Adjiri Blankson, constituency executives and some kingpins within the New Patriotic party.
