The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the recent attack on Kumasi based Fox FM when some irate NPP party thugs allegedly sponsored by some officers of the party in the Ashanti Region, stormed the Kumasi based Fox FM studios and beat up a vocal party critic, Baa Achamfuor and host of the program, Kwaku Kyeremanteng Nkansah(KK), during a live session.

In a statement signed, copied to GhanaPoliticsOnline.com by the Deputy General Secretary if the NDC Koku Anyidoho, NDC condemns the act and the manner in which the flagbearer of NPP Akuffo-Addo, is desecrating Ghana’s democracy by the gestapo tactics he has adopted within his own party to cow his opponents into submission.

According to Koku Anyidoho, the NDC as a party respects Ghana Police Force as an effective institution of the state and are in no doubt the Ashanti Regional Police Force led by DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye will bring the perpetrators to book.

Press Release

NPP’s Barbaric Attack On Party Member
—————————————-

Yesterday, Monday, April 25, 2016, joined the days that will go down in the dark annals of Ghana’s political history as another day that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), under the fascist leadership of Akuffo-Addo resorted to physical attack on a fellow party member who spoke his mind about corruption within the Party.

NPP activist, Baah Acheamfuor, was brutally and mercilessly beaten to near pulp by thugs loyal to Akuffo-Addo at Fox FM in Kumasi. The NDC condemns the manner in which Akuffo-Addo is desecrating Ghana’s democracy via the Gestapo tactics he has adopted within the NPP to cow his opponents into submission.

The NDC respects the Ghana Police as an effective institution of State and we have no doubt that the Ashanti Police led by DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye will bring Akuffo-Addo’s thugs to book.

If it is the case that Akuffo-Addo is hoping to unleash the same mayhem he is unleashing on his opponents within the NPP; on the NDC, he must think twice because it will not be countenanced.

Democracy is about the exchange of ideas and not the use of brute force and beastly acts to have ones voice heard.
