Concerned NDC Youth Of Afram Plains. Show Appreciation To Prez Mahama

we wish to express our profound gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana for continuing to demonstrate his commitment towards the wellbeing of the people of Afram Plains. We are particularly happy because most of the issues contained in our letter of petition to him, written in March of 2015, are being addressed.

ON THE FERRY
For more than 10 years now we have been yenning for a ferry on the Agordeke – Kpando Torkor stretch of the Volta Lake with NO HOPE.

President Mahama promised one to us in 2012 and true to his words he has delivered.

The commissioning of this ferry will open our district to the Volta Region, serving to boost trade activities and provide an easy and safe mode of transport for our people. Surprisingly, the president also generously added a WATER TAXI (AKPINI PRINCESS) to ply the Supom – Ntonaboma stretch of the Obosom River. Surely, there can be no other caring father for Ghana than H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

ON THE ROAD
It delights us to hear that our road is next, as the President said “Nana, I promised you the ferry and it’s been delivered. Today I promise you that the road will be next”. We have the utmost trust and confidence in the President, which means we can expect a contractor on our road as soon as practicable. A good tarred road stretching from Ekye to Agordeke will relieve our people of consistently paying high transport fares as well as the threat of armed robbery attacks, and also helping to promote safety on our road.

Qualified teachers, nurses and other government workers who normally refuse postings to our district will be a thing of the past.

ON EDUCATION
We side with the President’s highly commendable vision to establish a campus of the Eastern University in Afram Plains to conduct research and other studies to help boost Agriculture, considering the vast and very fertile agricultural lands here. While expressing our gratitude for the passage of the relevant act, we would like to beseech the President to quicken the process of physical construction to ease our stress in furthering our education.

The President also demonstrated his love for our people by surprising us with his intention to establish a “TRACTOR STATION” in Afram Plains. With such a station in place, we can farm in large quantities to help feed the whole nation. Thank you Mr President.

We cannot forget the tremendous efforts of people such as H.E. J. J. Rawlings (Former President Ghana), Dr Omane Boamah (Minister of Communications), Hon Mavis Ama Frempong (Eastern Regional Minister), NDC Regional Executives, Hon Emmanuel Didieye (Current MP-Afram Plains North), Hon Betty Krosbi Mensah (NDC Parl. Candidate-Afram Plains North), Hon Emil Windham Afram (DCE-Kwahu A/P North), NDC Constituency Executives-Afram Plains North and all other stakeholders who contributed in diverse ways to our success story.

We pledge our unflinching support for H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Hon Betty Krosbi Mensah for the upcoming November 7 general elections.

WE CHOOSE JM & BETTY.

Long live Ghana
Long live Afram Plains
Long live NDC
