The Chinese government together with Zhongmei Group, a construction and engineering firm, has erected 1000 Boreholes for Ghana as their quota in contributing to the mitigation of pitiable and inadequate water supply in rural areas.
A representative of Zhongmei Group, Mr Qin Jian signed a contract with the Minister of Works and Housing, Dr. Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah ,on behalf of the Ghana government last week.
Dr. Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah who was excited during the signing of the contract, made it known to GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com that, the 1000 boreholes would be allocated to various communities across the country.
He also added that the project would be commissioned come January, 2016 by the President. “Sod cutting shall be done early January, 2016 by his excellency supported by my ministry” Dr. Kwaku said.
