Chief of Staff calls on chiefs of Wechau and Dorimon in Wa West District, U/ Region

Chief of Staff – Julius Debrah

President Mahama has been described as a man with few words but many actions.

The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who stated this said Ghanaians need to give President Mahama a second term because he will fulfill the promises he has made in the 2016 manifesto to consolidate the gains made in his first term as president.

The Chief of Staff was speaking during courtesy calls on paramount chiefs of Wechau and Dorimon in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region.

The Wechau Naa Imoru Nandon and his elders welcome the Chief of staff and his entourage to the palace.

Wechau Naa’s spokeperson Naa Chielinaa Bandanaa said the Wechau traditional area has benefited from developmental projects including small town water system and educational infrastructure.

He said this notwithstanding the traditional area still needs to be provided with potable water.

Wechau Naa also appealed to the government to tar the Wechau-Ga and Wechau-Dorimon roads which link the district capital to its neighbours to ease the burden of the people.

Responding to their concern the Chief of Staff said road construction is another area that will receive government’s attention in second the term of president Mahama.

He said president Mahama is a listening president and is willing to address their concerns.

At Dorimon, the paramount chief of the traditional area Naa Suhumwinenye Danaa Gore said though the traditional area has seen some development in the last few years it has not received its fair share of the national cake.

The Chief of staff Julius Debrah told the people that government will speed up work on the completion of the Day Senior High School and other projects in the area.

The Regional Minister Alhaji Amidu Sulemani however, said government has done its best by spreading development evenly in the region.

He gave the assurance that the issues raised will be addressed in the second term of President Mahama if they renew his mandate.
