Change is coming 2016 – Akufo-Addo

Nana Akufo-Addo has said “change is coming” in reference to the 2016 general elections.

Rallying support for the New Patriotic Party’s Amenfi West candidate for Tuesday’s by-election, Nana Akufo-Addo urged the voters in the constituency to vote for Paul Denkyi to signal to the whole country that there is impending change.

“Rise up and believe that the change we seek is coming,” the three-time flagbearer said, adding: “Change is coming to Ghana in 2016.”

“Paul Denkyi winning and going to Parliament on the ticket of the NPP will be part of the process of change,” Mr Akufo-Addo added when he joined campaign efforts in the constituency on Saturday.

“Do you believe that Ghana can be a nation where there’ll be jobs for the youth, and where there is wealth and prosperity? Do you have that belief?” Akufo-Addo asked the crowd of supporters.

“Then, do you believe that we must bring in a government that will institute policies which will bring jobs for the youth and prosperity for all? Do you have that belief?” he asked again.

“If you do, then I am asking you to help bring back the ‘Elephant’ to the Jubilee House. The process of bringing back the elephant has begun, and Tuesday will be another step in the journey. I am urging all of you to go to your respective polling stations in your numbers and ensure that we have a free, fair and credible election, because when we have that, the Elephant will win,” he said.

The election has become necessary to replace the late John Gyetuah who died a few weeks ago.
