A younger brother of the late Adams Mahama, the Upper East Regional Chairman who was bathed in acid some two years ago says the family of the late politician will be grateful if Bugri Naabu, the Northern Regional chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) give them further details over his allegations.
Speaking in an interview , he said, we do not have the kind of evidence that Chairman Bugri Naabu have and so, we will be grateful if he could furnish us with that evidence.
The case is currently in court and we need more evidence to support our case, and so we will entreat Bugri Naabu to assist us.’’
He was reacting to the allegation by Bugri Naabu that the Gender Minister was part of the master minders that orchestrated the death of Adams Mahama. According to him, the outburst by Bugri Naabu has left the family wondering how the Minister of Gender and the Upper East Regional Minister will have a hand in the death of their late brother who was the bread winner of the family.
What makes the allegation more shocking he added is the alleged involvement of the Upper East Regional Minister who arrested and detained their brother and because of that we are thinking about it and the mention of his name by Bugri Naabu.
He said, ‘’Adams Mahama would have been the Regional Minister if he were to be alive today and so we will want the party to recognize the efforts of our brother.’’ He charged the president to interrogate the matter to bring finality to the death of the late family member. Bugri Naabu in an interview with Accra based Radio XYZ said: “Otiko has been a controversial woman in the party.
As I’m telling you, this Adams issue, she was deeply involved, so because of that most of us who know her will call her a controversial woman.’’ Otiko Djaba, alleged that Bugri Naabu has collected people’s monies, goats, cows and other things from people and promised them jobs with the School Feeding programme.
