Blood & Acid Will Flow Tomorrow! Krachi West NPP Members Warn Executives

With few months left into this year’s general election, most political parties are working assiduously to present a front that would be difficult for an opponent to penetrate.

But with the gaping hole developing in the New Patriotic Party over the controversial suspension of its elected Parliamentary Candidate for Krachi West, Kenneth Gyemah, national executives of the party must hurriedly step-in and act to patch the crack.

For over a year now, Kenneth Gyemah, the NPPs’ parliamentary nominee for the Krachi West Constituency in the Volta Region, has suffered venality following reports that he has been relieved of his nominee status.

Despite getting 221 votes to be declared the party’s parliamentary candidate for Krachi West, some NPP executives in the Volta Region are planning to hold another parliamentary primary tomorrow to elect a different candidate for the area.

Blood Will Flow

The plan has infuriated some loyal members of the party who have swore to let blood flow should the executives use clandestine means to remove Kenneth Gyemah from the party.

A member of the party by name Owusu Kwame David vowed to bitterly deal with his regional executives should they carry out primaries tomorrow.

In an interview on Okay FM on July 09, 2016, he stated that some followers of Mr. Gyemah were arming themselves and preparing to teach Mr. Peter Amewu, the party’s Volta Regional Chairman the hard way to respect delegates.

According to him, with Mr. Gyemah as the NPP’s candidate for Krachi West, they could win a seat in the Volta Region and break the jinx that has made them perform badly in the region.

“We would burn down the school they plan to use in organizing the primary. We would also kill the executives if they would not respect our decision to maintain Gyemah as our choice. Blood and acid will flow if nothign is done immediately”, Owusu Kwame said.

Reasons For The Suspension

One reason that pressed the executives to suspend Mr. Gyemah is based on claims that he has abandoned his duties in the constituency since he was elected in 2014. Another reason is that ever since he was elected, he has visited the constituency twice.

Mr. Gyemah disclosed to Peacefmonline.com that “they say I don’t have bill boards and posters in the area to market myself. They also say I don’t attend funerals in the areas and wasn’t present during the just ended limited registration exercise”.

Court Injunction

When Peacefmonline.com contacted Kenneth Gyemah for further comments and he disclosed that he has secured an injunction from a High Court at Hohoe through his lawyer, Effah Dartey to restrain his executives from organizing an “illegal” parliamentary primary.

He explained that two weeks ago, executives in the region connived and opened nominations for another parliamentary primary but later got to know that the national executives had not cleared them to do that.

“They told me that our flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo and acting National Chairman, Mr. Freddie Blay told them to elect a new candidate but I did my own investigation and realized that the two people have not commented on the issue”.

“Since I was elected as parliamentary candidate for Krachi West, I have never known peace. My regional executives especially Peter Amewu, our Regional Chairman, have been troubling me. He has also been polluting our national executives with false news about me”, Mr. Gyemah said.
