Bawumia will return on Friday – National Security assures

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to arrive in the country on Friday, the National Security has said.

In a statement, the vice President is well and will return to the country before the week ends.

Dr Bawumia was flown to the United Kingdom to seek better treatment and also have enough time to rest.

Photos and video of Dr Bawumia who is on a medical leave in London went viral on social media amid claims his health was deteriorating.

Bawumia who appears healthy in the photos is seen beaming with smiles as he walks the streets of London with his wife, Samira Bawumia.

However, Minister of State in-charge-of National Security, Bryan Acheampong in an interview said Dr Bawumia’s stay in London has gone well as planned adding that he’ll be back in Ghana by close of this week.

“He’s not in the hospital as some have speculated. He’s doing very well with his wife and I’m assuring you that by close of Friday, God willing Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be in Ghana for us all to see how he’s doing,” he noted
