Bawumia to be ‘dragged’ before court – Anyidoho

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho is lacing his boots for a legal tussle with the Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He insists that the NPP stalwart will soon be hauled before court to provide his source of names he claims were foreigners on the electoral roll which has turned out to be otherwise.

Mr. Anyidoho disclosed to Luther King Kwame Adinkra on ‘Abusua Nkomo’ that he has directed his lawyers to petition the Attorney General who will in turn haul Dr. Bawumia before court to provide the over 76,000 foreign names he claims to have.

“I thought I could directly go to court but I have been advised by my lawyers that we should petition the Attorney General, which I am considering,” he said.

He stated that the move is to compel Dr. Bawumia provide details of 76,000 names he claims were in the electoral register prior to ruling by the Supreme Court for 56,000 names to be deleted.

“We need to expose the NPP else there will bring about chaos in the country,” he added

The Deputy General Secretary said the NPP is making a lot of noise about the electronic transmission because they want to divert attention from the fact Dr Bawumia will soon be hauled before court to answer claiming to have nonexistent names on the country’s electoral register.
