Ban on Drumming and Noise making takes effect May 2

The ban on drumming and noise making is to begin on 2nd May and will be lifted by the Odadao Ceremony on 2nd June.

A statement by the Ga Traditional council says the Homowo festival will be ushered in by the Lante Djan We on 23rd July while the Ga Mashie Homowo will be celebrated on August 6th.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com/ban-drumming-noise-making-takes-effect-may-2/

The release further urged the general public to respect the customs and traditional norms associated with the festival.
