Ayariga thanks judge for ‘good’ judgment, wishes others well in fight with EC

After the ruling by Accra High Court’s Justice Barbara Tetteh Charway that the Electoral Commission (EC) acted unfairly in disqualifying All People’s Congress (APC) presidential hopeful, Hassan Ayariga, the colourful figure is back with a verve.

Upon hearing the good news, Mr. Ayariga opined “the successful event today shows the laws are working no matter who you are or where you come from. I am proud that the rule of law is working in Ghana. I thank her ladyship for a very good judgement,” the APC leader declared.

He added that he had already effected corrections to the errors the EC pointed out but the commission still dismissed him adding they just have to reinstate him in the race since he didn’t need to go the commission’s office.

Mr. Ayariga also submitted that he wished other failed presidential aspirants success in their legal battles with the EC.
