Attack In Cote d`Ivoire A Wake Up Call for Ghana To Beef Up Security – Security Expert

A Security Expert, Adib Sanni says the attack by Al-Qaeda militants on a beach resort in Southern Cote d`Ivoire in which four Westerners died is an eye opener for Ghana to beef up Security at her borders especially as most of her neighbours are being attacked.

Speaking to us he said terrorism cannot be stopped by a single country so Ghana must liaise with countries within ECOWAS for Security support.

In a related development, A Peace and Security Expert, Irbard Ibrahim also says the momentum of terrorist attacks is increasing and that provides some concern in Ghana.

He was however quick to add that the attack in Cote D`Ivoire is because of France’s intervention in that country.

He told George Ankrah that though any terrorist attack is serious, Ghanaians should not be too apprehensive about it because Ghana is not on the terrorists radar.

For him, the surest way to keep Ghana away from terrorists attacks is to ensure good governance.
