Assemblyman who incited Captain Maxwell Mahama’s murder busted

The Assembly Member alleged to have provoked Monday’s murder of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama in Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region has been arrested.

William Baah turned himself in to the Diaso police at exactly 3:30pm Wednesday, police have said.

He is currently being transported to the Regional Police Headquarters in Cape Coast to assist with investigations.

Ghanaians on Tuesday woke up to the sad news of the murder of a soldier, Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, sending shock waves across the country.

Adam Mahama was the victim of mob justice by a group of residents in a town in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.
He was lynched to death by residents on suspicion of being an armed robber while he was jogging.

Four prime suspects arrested in connection with the incident have been sent to the Central Regional Police Headquarters in Cape Coast.
Investigations are continuing as the police look to build a case to unravel the murder of the Captain.
