AshantiGold sack goalkeeper Nana Bonsu

AshantiGold technical team led by Coach Bashiru Hayford has put goalkeeper Nana Bonsu on transfer ahead of the upcoming season.

The decision come after the club’s technical team felt the former Black Starlets shot-stopper failed to impress during last season’s league.

Nana Bonsu, who joined the Miners on a three-year deal last two seasons from Hearts of Lions, will now have to look elsewhere after been asked to find a new club by the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League.

“After thorough analysis by the club’s technical team pertaining the performance of Nana Bonsu, he failed to meet the club’s standard hence the decision to put him on transfer. Officially he is no more Ashanti Gold player and any club interested in him can contact him.”

“His departure will not affect the club because there are two good goalkeepers (Fatau Dauda and Robert Dabuo) and the technical team will promote a young goalkeeper from the reserve team to augment the goalkeeping department,” a source close to the management told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Nana Bonsu will be remembered for last gap poor show in the SWAG Cup game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Kumasi a few months ago
