Arrest EC Boss -Akpaloo to Police

Independent People’s Party (IPP), Kofi Akpaloo has directed the Ghana Police Service to first arrest the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Madam Charlotte Osei before any of the disqualified candidates for either forgery or Perjury.

The nominee stands accused for forgery and could be possibly arrested by the police for onward prosecution by the Attorney General’s department as stated by the EC Chair during a press conference on Monday October 10, 2016.

But Akpaloo who is not enthused by the decision to disqualify him and further haunt him for the alleged forgery, wants the EC Chair to be the first causality stating, “If she dares take me to police or the AG for me to be arrested then I will first arrest her personally because I know I have not flouted any rules” he declared.

Mr. Akpaloo reveals that he is in talks with his legal team to seek redress considering the fact he has not flouted any law to warrant his disqualification and subsequent arrest.

“I will go to court and put injunction on the election because I can’t allow any elections without my name on the ballot paper. I want my name to appear on the paper because I know I’m going to win this election”, he fumed.
