Apostolic pastor, elder were killed by Fulani robbers

The Atebubu Amantem District police has revealed that the Sene East District Head Pastor of the Apostolic church of Ghana and one of his elders who met their untimely death were killed by five armed robbers suspected to be Fulanis.

The two, Pastor Sackey and Elder Ampaw, were on their way to Ashanti Mampong this morning when they were attacked and shot by the highway robbers.

Atebubu Amantem District Police Commander, ASP George Antwi Tanor confirmed this to Adom News Sunday.

He said the pastor was shot in the chest and the elder at his back after they refused to stop as ordered by the armed robbers.

The Police Commander noted that, the robbers quickly run into the bush when they heard the police approaching the scene.

ASP Antwi Tanor said they quickly organized a search party to trace the robbers but four hours of intensive search did not yield any results.

They however returned to the scene and conveyed the bodies to the Mampong government hospital morgue for autopsy.

ASP Antwi Tanor added that, they are yield to inform the family of the deceased for the necessary arrangement to be made.
