Anthony Karbo is a Professional thief

The Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Carbo was invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service,in connection with the CID’s ongoing investigations into allegations of fraud against Kwesi Nyantakyi by President Akufo-Addo.

Mr Karbo’s name was mentioned in an undercover video by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas which showed Kwesi Nyantakyi using President Akufo-Addo’s name to solicit a bribe from supposed potential investors.

On record this is not the first time the minister is involving himself in thievery.

Classified information available to weekly Guide (Ghanapoliticaonline) indicates that, deputy communication director and Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Lawra Constituency, Anthony Abayifa Karbo stole the mobile phone device of flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo at the NPP’s Sunyani extraordinary Conference organised last year in December.

A deep throat source closer to the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party who spoke to our news reporter confirmed this news by saying that ” at Sunyani, Anthony Karbo was the MC for the event in which our Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo unveiled his 2016 campaign team . Nana Addo usually has his mobile device in the hands and care of his special side, Francis Assenso-Boakye . However, when the time came up for Nana Akufo-Addo to mount the podium and address the gathering, Gabby quickly inserted in the speech to be read by Akufo-Addo, a list of campaign team members different from what has been planned already by Akufo-Addo. Unfortunately, Nana Akufo-Addo who was quite perplexed at that material moment took his phone with him and walked to the podium to address the gathering. On stage, Nana Akufo-Addo placed his mobile phone on the pulpit ”

The source continued “After Nana Akufo-Addo had finished reading his speech and all that, he forgot about his phone and descended the podium to go take his seat. Anthony Karbo was the next person to have immediately come closer to the pulpit. The next minute, Akufo-Addo asks about the whereabouts of his mobile device and, it is no where to be found. One woman (name withheld) who was sitting behind Madam Ama Busia said she saw Karbo giving the stolen mobile phone to his driver and asked him to hide it in his car. We confronted Karbo and it turned out to be something else, as he gave us conflicting stories. Nana Akufo-Addo who didn’t want that to mar the beauty of the event with such incidents asked that, it be let go.”

This revelations comes at the instances where confidential documents and records of flagbearer of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo has been leaked to international and local media.
