Another suspect charged in JB Danquah’s murder case

A second suspect, Vincent Bosso, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the case in which Daniel Asiedu is standing trial for allegedly killing the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

The accomplice, who was arrested in an unnamed hideout, was arraigned in an Accra District Court today [Tuesday], and the case then adjourned to the 18th of May.

The suspect is believed to have aided the main suspect Daniel Asiedu, to climb into the MP’s Shiashie residence in Accra where he committed the act.

Daniel Asiedu, who has admitted to killing the MP albeit unintentionally, named Vincent Bosso as his accomplice. There had been pressure on him to name his accomplices since he’s believed to have committed the heinous act with the support of others, or on the instructions of persons who may have contracted him.

Daniel Asiedu, who is facing charges of murder, was arraigned after he confessed to stabbing the late MP in his residence which led to his death.

How suspect killed JB Danquah The teenager says he entered the MP’s house to steal but not to kill. According to him, he had to stab the MP who held him tight during a struggle.

The charge sheet stated that Daniel Asiedu went to the residence of JB Danquah at about 1:00am with “catapult, a cutter, and a sharp knife…[went] through the iron fence at the blind side of the security man who was fast asleep.”

“The suspect picked a ladder in the house and climbed to the porch of the top floor and entered the bedroom through the window whilst the deceased was sleeping. The suspect began to search the room but deceased woke up and held him.

He stabbed deceased on the right chest above the breast. Deceased held the knife and shouted for help but no one came. The suspect pulled the knife through the deceased hands creating a deep cut in his palm.

“Deceased who was bleeding profusely fell by his bed helpless and the suspect stabbed him again on the right chest below the breast.
Suspect realizing that the deceased was almost dead left him and took away his two iPhones and a tablet.

Suspect managed to descend from the top to the back of the house and climbed one of the poly tanks in the house and jumped over the electric fence into the adjoining house and escaped.”
