Americans will regret voting for Donald Trump – Asiedu Nketia

Just hours after Donald Trump was voted as President-elect of the United States, General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia is predicting doom for his presidency.

Mr Trump who defeated Democratic candidate and firm favourite, Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s polls and will become the 45th President of the United States when he takes the oath of office in January next year run a campaign which was largely based on anti-immigration and anti-Islam ideas but according to the NDC General Secretary, Mr Trump with these ideas will bring nothing but untold hardship to Americans.

“Americans will regret voting for Donald Trump in no time”, he said.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Wednesday, he likened the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) to the Republican Party saying they were both centre-right parties who had similar ideas and do not care so much about the vulnerable int he society.

Notwithstanding, the ideological similarities the NPP has with the Republican, Mr Trump’s does not necessarily mean Akufo-Addo is going to win, he quickly added. and explained that, “the dynamics in Ghana is different from that of America because whites voted for Trump to sacks blacks” but there was no such case in here.
