Ambassador Horace Nii Ankrah Donates Logistics And Paraphernalia To Party for 2016 Elections

The 2016 polls which is slated for November 7th is barely 210 days away. Gradually, political activities in the country are beginning to pick up. It is refreshing to note that, even before the official campaign is launched by our great party, a number of voluntary individuals and groups have come up and actually are already on the group to canvass support for HE President Mahama and the various NDC parliamentary candidates across the country.

As indicated in my preamble, I personally want to use this opportunity to commend sincerely and passionately HE Horace Nii Ankrah, the Deputy Ambassador of Ghana to China for his wonderful work for Ghana and our great party, NDC. So far, the Deputy Ambassador has demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that he is up to the task as an appointee of Government.

Last month, on the 7th March, HE Horace Nii Ankrah led a delegation from the Ghana Mission in Beijing, China to Wuhan in Central China to join Ghanaian Students and NUGS-Wuhan to celebrate the 59th Independence Anniversary celebration. Available information indicates that, this particular visit is the first of its kind as far as independence anniversary celebration by Ghanaian students in Central China is concerned. Before the Independence anniversary celebration came to a closure with Ghanaian students in Wuhan, he took the opportunity and addressed the students during which he launched an all important initiative dubbed “Every Ghanaian Living in China Matter”.

And truly he continue to demonstrate that, he truly meant business by such an initiative. HE Horace Nii Ankrah thankfully has also come up with some wonderful initiatives for our dear great party which for me is a very refreshing and welcoming move.

As we all know, HE President John Dramani Mahama’s government records and achievements within the spate of three years four months, can only be likened to the government Ghana’s first President, the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah. What is this initiative for NDC 2016 campaign all about? It is about logistical support as well as campaign paraphernalia.

This is how, the distribution or breakdown would look like: 3000 NDC party flags, 2000 miniature President Mahama flags, 1000 head scarfs, 20 mobile phones for core Regional Communication Team and party T’ shirts and caps. These donations would be made available to all the 10 regional secretariats of NDC party in the country.

This gesture for me is not only a demonstration of a great and true leadership by the Deputy Ambassador to China but it is also an appreciation and admiration of the wonderful achievements of HE President Mahama-Amissah Arthur government within the past three years. On this wonderful note, I wish to commend once again, HE Horace Nii Ankrah for his good works for mother Ghana especially the Ghanaian community in China and our great NDC party.
