Akufo-Addo’s UK-Based Medical Doctor Revealed

The Herald, has landed details of one of the top medical doctors treating the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, based in London – United Kingdom (UK), whom he sees during his regular medical checkups in that country.

The highly-qualified Amir Kaisary, is a Urologist, specialized in Prostate and Urological cancers.

The Egypt-born Amir Kaisary, qualified as a medical doctor in 1967 in Cairo, Egypt, but relocated to the UK, where he has made a name for himself, as the best specialist in Prostate and Urological cancers; a unique area in the field of medicine.

He is currently a Consultant Urologist.

A urologist is a physician, who has specialized in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. This can include diseases affecting the bladder, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands, along with epididymis, penis, prostate, seminal vesicles and testes specifically in men.

The Herald, has had clinical notes on Nana Akufo-Addo since 2013, when the NPP flagbearer, rushed to him to seek medical attention inside the South Building of the Wellington Hospital in London; one of the high-priced hospitals in that country – a no go area for the poor and needy – only the rich and famous.

NW8 7JA for Prostate, Urological cancers, is strictly by appointment. He is able to carry out Prostate cancer surgery, as part of his clinical expertise.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and also Consultant Urologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Urology at the Royal Free Hospital in North London.

Mr. Kaisary’s main interest is the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer and benign prostate disease together with bladder cancer and renal cell carcinoma.

A pioneer in the development of new diagnostic tests and treatments, he is currently involved in a joint research project with the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Mr. Kaisary, is also the author of the internationally recognised text book, The Textbook of Prostate Cancer, Pathology, Diagnosis and Treatment.
Recently, the NPP Flagbearer, sneaked behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s town hall political lecture inside the National Theater and flew to London for his routine medical checkup in the company of his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Nana Akufo-Addo, left Ghana on a British Airways flight, shortly after his running mate’s lecture titled, “The State of the Ghanaian Economy – A Foundation of Concrete or Straw,” , chaired by ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor.

He left the National Theater event straight to the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to London from where his doctors according to detailed clinical notes, had been undergoing various medical treatments, including kidney injury, enlarged heart and Prostate Cancer .

Family sources had told The Herald that, the 72-year NPP presidential candidate, went out for his regular medical review, but party executives described the secret trip as a “couple of business meetings. He is back by Monday”.

What was strange about this visit is that, it was unannounced by his press secretary, Eugene Arhin, who often told Ghanaians the whereabouts of the NPP Presidential Candidate through his press statements.

The quick trip, came days after news broke that, Nana Addo, might be medically unfit for the exhausting campaign, which is obviously his last attempt at the presidency, after two other attempts, were unsuccessful.

Ahead of the secret London trip, The Herald, had gotten pictures of Nana Akufo-Addo, being supported from behind into his vehicle by some aides.
He was earlier seen in the three Northern regions, wearing winter jacket, while campaigning in a geographical area noted for its bread-baking temperature.

In another photograph, he appeared really exhausted and had to lean on a wooden barricade on the campaign platform to rest. In the picture was the controversial Northern Regional NPP Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu, who appeared to be shielding Nana Addo from the cameras.

The Nana Akufo-Addo’s 2016 Campaign, is plagued by a joke “One Region; One London” reference to his medical checkups abroad.

The London trips, have made the campaign to lack focus and directions. It has made it difficult to plan campaign events around him.
Meanwhile, they are claims that, he fell down last week in the Ashaiman during his campaign tour of that community.
