President Nana Akufo-Addo will today [Friday] continue his nationwide tour of the country with a visit to the Western Region.
The 2-day visit will afford him the opportunity to inspect on-going projects and interact with chiefs and opinion leaders in the region.
This comes after his 2-day tour of the Ashanti region earlier in June this year.
The President will begin his tour of the region from Tarkwa where he will meet with the chiefs and people of the gold mining town. He will also inspect on-going projects in the Region and visit some cocoa farms there.
While there, Akufo-Addo will address a durbar of chiefs and people in the Northern part of the Region who are demanding that their area is carved as a standalone region; Western North region.
