The President of Imani Africa, Mr Franklin Cudjoe has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo is officiating waste, hence the NPP government is engaging in corruption.
According to him, corruption is not only stealing money or putting your hands in the nation’s kitty, however officiating waste is a clearest example of the NPP government supervising corruption.
Mr. Franklin Cudjoe said this on Citi Fm ‘Big Issue’ a weekend current affairs program of which he is a regular panelist, when he was asked by the host of the program to comment on the number of Akuffo-Addo’s presidential staffers.
He said let no one make the mistake to justify this waste, thinking it will serve as Employment Avenue for the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile he emphasized there is nothing sensible in this arrangment, according to him this has made Ex-President John Dramani Mahama look like a saint which is very sad he claimed.
Again he said this was a hallmark of having unplanned policy guideline program; hence justifying why Imani asked for the quantification of political promises; people thought we were mad, not knowing we were going to get to this stage, he added.
Commenting on tackling corruption, he said the real deal is with the office of the government machinery, the presidency where all these procurement shenanigans would be happening.
