Akufo-Addo Sprays Billions On Christmas tree as SHS students die

The phrase “let them eat cake” is widely attributed to Marie-Antoinette, the Queen consort of Louis XVI. She is supposed to have said this when she was told that the French populace had no bread to eat. This statement perhaps best exemplifies the insensitive nature of President Akufo-Addo and his government. When it comes to lifestyle, Nana Akufo-Addo has no inhibition. He spends lavishly on Birthdays, his uncles and father’s anniversaries, jamborees, and even weddings. The money ranges from direct siphoning from government coffers, kickbacks from local contractors, to forcing contributions from expatriate businessmen, friends, kickbacks from multinationals keen on securing deals for oil, gas and other natural resources exploration.

As part of his Christmas activities and usual jamborees, the President is spending billions of cedis on Christmas trees, gift for friends and associates as students die in our secondary schools. Recently, the President spent billions of cedis to mark the UGCC anniversary, birthday, his party’s activities as the ordinary people live in abject poverty, unable to cope with the terrible economic condition visited on them by the administration.

Sources close to the President have hinted that the Presidency has outlined a number of activities to mark the first Christmas of the President in office. The activities include sporting activities, a state dinner and a talk by the President. The President’s media operatives in collaboration with the Information ministry have invited some international figures to talk about the President.
