Akufo-Addo sacks “Mahama health worker” at Flagstaff House –Sam George claims

All medical doctors and nurses working at the Flagstaff House clinic have been sacked by President Nana Akufo-Addo, a former presidential staffer, Samuel George Nartey has alleged.

According to Sam George who is the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, one doctor Afriyie, acting on the instructions of the President, ordered all doctors and nurses on duty at the Flagstaff House clinic to vacate their post.

Speaking in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold News Extra Wednesday, Sam George said “one doctor Afriyie goes to the Flagstaff House clinic and orders all doctors and nurses on duty there to leave; that they were Mahama people and they are being sacked.”

Sam George also indicated that the doctors and nurses were employed in 2007 by New Patriotic Party regime under former President John Agyekum Kufuor and have been serving the country from the time of the late President Atta Mills through to the immediate past President, John Mahama.

He described the development as sad and unfortunate “especially at a time President Akufo-Addo had called on the Ghanaians to forget the past and unite for development.”

Sam George bemoaned the “continuous dismissal of innocent Ghanaian workers” barely two months after Nana Akufo- Addo took over as President of Ghana.

He alleged that close to 12,000 Ghanaian workers have so far been sacked from their post. The number he indicated included doctors, nurses, national security officers, national service staff, police service and civil servant at the Flagstaff House.
