Akufo Addo and his team displaying imbecile levels of incompetence and annoying corruption – IMANI

Vice President of think tank, IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, Kofi Bentil, , says the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and his team have are displaying imbecile levels of incompetence and annoying corruption to Ghanaians.

Many influential Ghanaians including awards winning journalists Mabel Aku Banesseh of Graphic Communication and Joy FM’s Azure Manasseh have serialized the corrupt deals of the ruling New Patriotic Party on social media to show the entire country how the government is bleeding the nation by robbing its coffers in broad day light using dubious means in the name of developmental projects.

Same time last year, former New Patriotic Party General Secretary and now Forestry Commission Board Chairman, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie known in Ghanaian political circles as Sir John and the then running-mate Dr Mahmoud Bawumia chided the then NDC government for spending Ghc50,000.00 on drilling bore-holes.

Information Minister Hon Mustapha Hamid also published of on his social media handles that the then ruling NDC was stealing the country’s money for quoting bore-hole prices as Ghc50,000.00 per unit.

It is against this background that IMANI Ghana’s Kofi Bentsil is expressing shock at the NPP for doing worse than what they accused the then NDC for after minority in Parliament leaked a document that quoted GHC132,000.00 as cost of bore-holes and Ghc15,000,000.00 as rent for offices just in less than a year after corruption allegations against the previous government.

In a Facebook post captured by Ghanapoliticsonline.com, Mr Kofi Bentsil reminded the NPP that it won power by campaigning against corruption.
