Akufo-Addo and his ministers thieves

Musician and comedian, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly called Kwame A-plus has descended heavily on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing thieves into his government.

According to him, the seven months of President Akufo-Addo’s government have been good so far except for appointing two criminally minded people as Chief of Staff.

A-Plus has labeled deputy Chief of Staff Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor as stupid and corrupt appointees.

In a Facebook post, A-Plus who declared his support for the NPP wondered why the two personalities were appointed to serve in government.

He said “NPP delegate’s congress…. 7 months of NPP government. So far so good except appointing some very corrupt officials including the two very stupid deputy chief of staffs. It’s amazing how Nana was able to appoint thieves whose level of stupidity is the same. Arrogant and corrupt fools. You think you’ll be in power forever. Even John Mahama I was not afraid of him then you.”

A-Plus, however, did not state the basis for his allegation.

Mr Asenso-Boakye had accused musician A Plus of “sheepishly” using social media to attack him and Samuel Abu Jinapor by tagging them as “thieves and corrupt arrogant fools.”

However, A-Plus in an interview on Asempa FM’s Eko Sii Sen programme urged Mr Asenso-Boakye to tell the whole world why he [A-Plus] reported him to the President a few weeks ago.
He said “The Genesis of this entire matter is because of a request Asenso made. He has made more requests of me than the other way around. His claims are just baseless.”

On the part of Asenso-Boakye in reply to A-Plus, he lambasted A-Plus for making what he described as unsubstantiated claims of corruption against him and advised the musician, who campaigned vigorously for Akufo-Addo ahead of the December 7 polls, to channel his energies into helping the president to succeed.

“Indulging in baseless accusations and unsubstantiated claims of corruption and arrogance is beneath you and frankly discredits you in the eyes of right thinking Ghanaians. As the President noted at the just ended NPP Conference, he is willing and ready to look into any case of alleged corruption. You may kindly take up his generous offer and present your case to him,” he said in a Facebook post.
