Days after their incarceration, leaders of the NDC, including Deputy General Secretary Koku Anyidoho and Deputy Communications Director Kwaku Boahene, paid a visit to the trio in prison to sympathise with them.

“They are good condition and we were happy to see them,” Kwaku Boahene told Kaayire Ofori Ayim, AM Drive on Atinka FM, Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Boahene is hopeful President John Mahama will listen to the pleas from various sections of the society including Ga chiefs, for him to invoke Article 72 of the constitution and grant them clemency.

He said the party still stands by the position that the sentencing was harsh, hence the push for presidential pardon.
