Akufo-Addo Is A Tribalist; One Does Not Need To Be A Rocket Scientist To Know That

There is no doubt in the minds of most Ghanaians, particularly Ewes, that the NPP and its flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo are anti-Ewe. Thus, the effort being made to twist and spin Dzifa Attivor’s assertion that the NPP and Akufo-Addo are anti-Ewe is very comical to say the least.

Indeed, Ewes do not need anybody to tell them Akufo-Addo and the NPP are anti-Ewe. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to know that the NPP are anti-Ewe. From the days when Victor Owusu insulted Ewes as “inward looking” to date, Ewes have suffered from the hands of the NPP. He who feels it knows it all.

If the NPP and AkufoAddo are not anti-Ewe, Kennedy Agyepong would not have called on Ashantis to club Voltarians on the head? If the NPP was not anti-Ewe, Anthony Karbo would not have suggested that they target ‘ayigbe’ (Ewe) Generals and Brigadiers in the Army.

Indeed, anyone who is an Ewe and lived under the NPP government from 2001 to 2008 will testify to the kind of hatred and shabby treatment they were subjected to by NPP functionaries and supporters. If you had a name like Tamakloe, Akakpo, Agdodza etc, then it was extremely difficult if not impossible for you to be employed into the civil service, the military, the police etc under the NPP. Let those who doubt this simple truth go ask Mr. Hodari Okine, then the Deputy boss of the Ghana Immigration Service why the NPP govt refused to reinstate him into the Service despite the orders of an Accra High Court.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com

The political trial and jailing of persons such as Tsatsu Tsikata and Victor Selormey in particular had everything to do with their being Ewe when one analyses the circumstance under which they were arrested, their bogus trial and subsequent sentencing to various jail terms. Even when it was clear to the NPP government that Victor Selormey, who had a heart condition was going to die, they showed no compassion to him till he passed away.

So, what exactly did Dzifa Attivor say that is not true, is strange or is new? She just stated the obvious! What she said is the truth. Truth is one. Truth is God. Ghandi went looking for the truth in God and discovered God in truth. Truth cannot be changed to satisfy somebody’s whims and caprices. Truth does not change because it sounds unpleasant to somebody’s ears.And, as E.C White said, “The greatest want of the world is the want of men – men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall”

Dzifa Attivor has stated the truth. Akufo-Addo and the NPP are anti-Ewe. Akufo Addo is a tribalist. Let the heavens fall !
