15% increment in transport fares announced

Transport fares covering Intracity (Trotro), Intercity (Long Distance) and Taxi Cabs have been increased by 15 percent.

According to a statement released by Road Transport Operators (RTO) on Monday, the increment takes effect from Thursday, April 6, 2017.

The statement thus directed members of the RTO to “comply with the new fares, and post the fare list at their loading terminals so as to avoid any confrontation with the travelling public.”
